The space between the kitchen and living room was enlarged to create more open-concept living in this home. Opened up to the living room, this kitchen has a unique feature  -  a secret door in the cabinetry that opens to the new, first-floor laundry room. This delivered a high level of efficiency while being pleasing to the eye.
