Design Agreement

We will present you with a Design Agreement that outlines the design process and spells out the deliverables our team will produce for you. Each Agreement is customized for the goals we discussed.

After you sign the Design Agreement and pay the deposit our team will get field measurements

and the ball starts rolling!

Phase I, Schematic Design:

This is an exciting part of the process! Our Architectural Designer will present a study of the project with examples of potential design avenues. Floor plans, vignettes, elevation studies, and/or 3-D renderings may be included. You will explore and the various options and provide important feedback. There are no wrong answers here. We will listen and craft a plan that is right for you, making sure everyone is comfortable with the direction and the budget.

Phase II, Design Development

Now we dive into the details of your project. Based on your feedback, we tweak and refine the architectural design while you begin making material and fixture selections in our Design Center. The project begins to take shape.

Phase III, Construction Drawings

We produce the final technical drawings needed to build your project. Our Production Team will use these on an exploratory site visit with our skilled trades. Here, our professional trades will learn more about the design and conditions specific to your project. This ensures everyone has a clear understanding of the plans.

Fixed Cost Quote & Contract

At the end of the Design Phase, you have building plans as well as a fixed cost quote for your project. This is based on your plans, your design choices and the information provided by our trades. We will develop a construction contract that reflects this quote, a clear scope of work, and a completion date for the project. It is an honest, thorough document.

Kickoff Meeting

Breakfast or Lunch, you pick! Our team will meet with you at your home to have a bite and review your upcoming project. We will cover expectations, discuss the construction calendar and answer any of your questions.

Your Project Manager will oversee all aspects of your project and be your point person for all communication. You will have a personal log-in to our BuilderTrend software so that you are always in the loop. Your PM will regularly use BuilderTrend to log project notes, calendar updates, job site pictures, fixture selections and more. With BuilderTrend, you have 24-7 access to all job details.

After we have passed inspections and substantial progress is reached, your PM will walk through the project with you, answer any questions and note any items that may need to be addressed. We will make a list of any items, log them in BuilderTrend and create a plan to address them.

Your project is covered by a one-year workmanship warranty. We aren’t going anywhere and stand by the quality of our construction.
